BCCI announced India’s squad for the upcoming T20 International series against Afghanistan, scheduled to begin on January 11 at Punjab Cricket Association at Mohali. Rohit and Virat are back in T20 Series against Afghanistan.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has back to T20 series after 14 months. They were continuously missing from the T20 series since the 2022 World T20. Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj have been rested in this series. Hardik Pandya and Surya Kumar Yadav are missing this series due to injury.
Young players like Rinku Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Ravi Bishnoi, Shivam Dubey have been included in Team India against Afghanistan. Yashasvi Jaiswal or Tilak Verma are being given a chance in the T20 series so that they can come in good form before the T20 World Cup 2024.
The best thing for Indian cricket fans is that Virat and Rohit Sharma have returned in the T20 series.Sanju Samson has been selected as the main wicket-keeper. Sanju Samson is in good form this time and he has also scored a century in the One Day series against South Africa. Along with Sanju, Jitesh Sharma has also been selected as wicket-keeper in the team.
